Best cigar shop in Oregon! Friendly lounge to enjoy your smoke and the humidor has everything from Fuente and Padrón to Black Label and Dunbarton. Great people and great selection!
Super rude staff, walked in to buy a couple cigars (have been here before when visiting bend and had a great experience) but this time was completely different. My boyfriend walked in and greeted the employee with “hey boss” which is a pretty common term these days and the gentleman behind the register immediately became offended and defensive. He started guessing my boyfriends age and told him to look up the English dictionary and become familiar with terms being used. I’m not sure if that is the way this place wants to do their business, but to each their own. We visited the McMenamins cigar bar after and had a 10/10 experience. Sad that we didn’t have the same experience and enjoyment at this place like we have in the past. My boyfriend tried to apologize to the employee and didn’t mean to upset him by any means. But even after he apologized, the employee kept going off on us about the term “boss”. People who are insulted by this term are either insecure or self righteous. Some people judge other people not by their intentions but by the accuracy in how they want to be treated - and when they don’t get it right, they immediately become insulted. Will not be visiting again.
Kick back and relax in those comfy leather chairs while you enjoy your Stogey but by all means, take a casual stroll through the humidor and enjoy the journey. No alcohol served at this lounge though, however, awesome vibe. Alcohol service would be five stars, but they do have an outdoor patio where you can BYOB.
The Good- This place has a relaxing atmosphere, good selection of cigars and good resident knowledge. The Bad- Not much in the way of pipes, but then it''s not called the Pipe Chapel... The Tip- if buying a gift or new to this, avail yourself of done of that knowledge, and ask the owner - affable and knows a thing or two!
Excellent service, selection and hospitality. The best inventory and selection in the NW, if not the entire west coast and I''ve been to many of them. Ownership has sourced some of the top and rarest cigars from around the world and many you cannot get most places. John''s lounge is welcoming with comfortable chairs, big screen TVs and lively conversation.
